Today’s world is one of growing complexity. You and I are bombarded with information. We are faced with tensions associated with managing our personal and work lives.
As a therapist I take an integrative approach to working with my clients. Why? Because problems in one area of your life often affect other areas of your life – and, correspondingly, improvement and healing in one part of your life can improve the other parts.
I work with adults of all ages. My training and experience as a therapist enable me to assist clients dealing with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, as well as the effects of trauma, childhood abuse, chronic illness and loss. First and foremost, I see clients as individuals, not as diagnostic labels. I actively work with clients regarding matters of gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnic or cultural identity, and religious beliefs and spirituality.
In addition to my experience and training as a social worker and therapist, I find that my previous career, spent in the corporate sector as a labor and employment attorney, helps me to understand specific client work-life difficulties and to provide targeted assistance to clients facing difficulties in their jobs and careers. |
